I also love your TV show, _The Dead Zone_, and I love your movies, _Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon_ and _The Matrix_. The best story is always the one that you are not writing, the one that you are not telling. That is what makes it worth writing.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being a writer who doesn’t take herself too seriously. You’re not the only person who has self-awareness, and you don’t have to be the only one. I think it’s especially important for writers to understand how their ideas are affecting the readers before they begin writing them. That’s one of the ways that we can all learn to write better. If you are not a writer, I don’t know why you would write at all.
Eden is a writer. A writer who is a former high-school teacher, a writer who is a former university professor, a writer who is a former lawyer, a writer who is a former poet, a writer who is a former painter, a writer who is a former musician. You have to write to tell the story. In that respect, I think that all writers can learn from Eden.
