I think that’s because the term “babydoll” has entered our vocabulary for a reason. It is a term used by some people to refer to a doll that is made from a very realistic imitation of a human infant. It is considered to be a highly sexualized product. Well, yes it is an imitation of a human infant, but it is also a realistic one that has a lot of personality.
Now, while I’m sure that it is perfectly fine to use the term babydoll to describe a piece of clothing to describe the sexiness of the doll, I am definitely not comfortable calling it a babydoll. But that’s just the way it goes. People love to use the term babydoll all because it is a slang term for a female doll made from a human infant.
Tomiebabydoll does have a cute name, and I like the idea of using it for a doll. But I don’t think it is a good way to describe a piece of clothing. I am not one to speak out in full-on defense of an offensive term that I don’t think should be used, but I do feel like I need to say that I am not a fan of the term babydoll.

I think because we are used to seeing it used in a negative way, it might be used in a negative way in a certain way. I think that as a fan of cute as a whole, I would rather see it used as a positive.

Maybe it should be used as a cute-ass term to mean that you are a good person, but it should not be used as an insult. I think that’s why I love the word.
